Queen Killer Queen Top Of The Pops 1974 video

Queen Killer Queen Dutch TV video

Killer Queen Songfacts

Killer Queen released in October 1974 was from Queen album Sheer Heart Attack. Stopped by David Essex song I'm Gonna Make You A Star from being number One.

It was the 3rd single by Queen and saw them make headway in America with this song.
Brilliantly crafted and a move away from the heavy sound of Queen II

We watch the top of the pops version from December 1974 which is the famous performance with Freddie wearing Fur coat. We see Rami Malek wearing the same coat in the Bohemian Rhapsody Movie trailer.

Then we watch the Dutch TV version recorded in November 1974. Watching the Dutch version makes you realize how good the BBC recording actually is. The band in Holland look a little uncomfortable on stage miming. With Roger behind a tiny drum kit and Brian play an uncharacteristic Fender Stratocaster. Still nice to watch as part of Queen history and there's many famous photos of the band from this visit to Holland

Bohemian Rhapsody Trailer Breakdown - What You Might Have Missed

Bohemian Rhapsody Trailer Breakdown - What You Might Have Missed

Live Reaction Video

Sally Reaction Video

The opening starts with the famous Freddie Mercury day-o which is apperently sang for the movie by Marc Martel Of Queen Extravaganza
We also see Rami Malek dressed as Freddie through the years from Sheer Heart Attack Tour through The Crazy Tour Of 1979 as well as Live Aid. We don’t however see the yellow jacket era of the 1986 Magic Tour.

In the beginning of Queen we see the band Smile in back of van with the Smile logo clearly visible before cutting to scenes from Freddie’s parties.
The film also looks at his friendship and relationship with Mary Austen.
One thing I had missed first watching the trailer was the scene where Freddie Mercury hands Dj Kenny Everett a copy of Bohemian Rhapsody which Kenny went on to play

Everyone has been wondering which part Mike Myers of Wayne’s World fame will play. It’s my guess he’s playing Eric Hall who in the clip says Bohemian Rhapsody is too long

Bohemian Rhapsody Trailer Reaction

On November 2nd The film Bohemian Rhapsody will be released Check out the official trailer My overall impression from the trailer is that this is going to be a quality movie. It seems that the film will cover the eras from the beginning of the Queen story through Rainbow 74 Hammersmith 75 Houston 77 The Crazy And Hot Space Tour right up TIL Live Aid In 1985 There was talk from Sacha Baron Cohen that the film would be Freddie dying in the middle of the movie and the rest of the film being about the band carrying on. From the trailer this doesn’t seem to be the case. A lot of people seem to think the success of the movie can only be if Rami Malek looks identical to Freddie Mercury. Personally it’s more about his skill as an actor and the film telling the compelling story of Queen and the greatest singer in rock music. It’s a film about Queen it’s gotta be good. And it it isn’t then the soundtrack will be amazing Rami Malek plays Freddie Mercury Ben Hardy - Roger Taylor Gwilym Lee - Brian May Joseph Mazzello - John Deacon Lucy Boynton - Mary Austin Allen Leech - Paul Prenter Aaron McCusker - Jim Hutton Ace Bhatti - Freddie’s Father Dickie Beau - Kenny Everet Philip Andrew - Mack Adam Raul - Faroukh
